Our Story
It started with my mom's old family peanut butter fudge, the special treat I loved so much that I memorized the recipe at 12. At 16 I made a batch for Bonnie as a gift. At 20 I made it again on a mission base in Zambia, where I'd been put on kitchen duty and needed a dessert. They didn't have much, but they had butter, sugar, and peanut butter.
When we moved to Oregon to help start the Abiding Place World Missions headquarters, my parents started a goat dairy nearby, and fudge turned out to be a delicious way to use that fresh milk. Money was tight, so Bonnie began selling it at the Klamath Farmers Market in 2018. She created her own flavors, and we've been improving them ever since, always reaching for the most natural, wholesome ingredients we can.
Today every piece is still made by hand in small batches, wrapped in foil, and packed like a little gift.
And the 'Boy' in Butter Boy? That's our six sons. We built this business to provide for them, and every box helps.
